Do the women of TRHofATL portray the real Atlanta? Many say no, the Housewives say they can't be every woman. Either way, they never cease to entertain.

What was said and what wasn't said in Atlanta Magazine's new article about their own "Real" Housewives.

"Trashionistas"

Atlanta Magazine has the ladies of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta on its September cover. The issue contains an article cleverly titled, “Trashionistas,” written by Amanda Brown Heckert. The article contains brief bios and observations on pseudo- fame by each of the five Housewives. Also included in the article, are several whimsical, as well as stunning photos shot by Alex Martinez at the Pink Palace in the Atlanta suburb of Buckhead.

The Housewives

There is, of course, a picture of Kim smoking a cigarette and the article states that she wanted the dress she was to be photographed in made as short as possible. The stylists had to tape up the hem, until Kim was just the right amount of skankiness.

NeNe chimes in on the benefits of being on a show like The Real Housewives. She discusses establishing a Nene brand, with a book and possible talk show. All of this is likely, considering NeNe is a huge fan favorite and has a lot of personality. Will it last? Most likely not, but it will be fun to watch. And, stranger things have happened…

The article drones on about Lisa’s many businesses, including a baby clothing line, an adult clothing line, a jewelry line, and a real estate firm. As is widely known, she has two children with ex-husband, R & B singer, Keith Sweat. Per the article in Atlanta Magazine, Lisa is currently fighting for custody of these two children. Her ex-husband was originally granted full custody because Lisa’s life style was too hectic and on the go to raise children.

Kandi discusses being in the limelight before in her career and she hopes that through the show, more people hear her music. Basically, she is using the show to advance her career, which is a smart move, but could also backfire.

Atlanta Magazine also discusses the elusive She by Sheree clothing line and the fact that Sheree comes across as a cold hearted bitch. Sheree discusses blowing up at the event planner for her “Independence Party.” She says she made a mistake and is not happy with the way she acted.

Fifteen Minutes of Fame

Overall, the article gives Real Housewives fans no new dirt on the ladies. Instead, it discusses the lack of class of the five women (because no one wants to watch someone who is polite and normal – so true) and how fame, be it ever so fleeting, can change one’s life. Each of the Housewives have been criticized and applauded in different ways. They are an entertaining bunch, and there is no doubt they will ride this 15 minutes as long as they can collect a paycheck. Because which of them really wants to work?
