Will David Archuleta Be the Next American Idol? Certainly, if David does not go on to be the official 2008 American Idol, he will be remembered for his touching performance of John Lennon's Imagine in February 2008. David did a good job this week, but is starting to look inexperienced next to David Cook, who sand and amazing re-styled rendition of Michael Jackson's "Billy Jean" (wow) and Michael Johns, who sang Queen's "We are the Champians.' David Cook did steal the show this evening, showing fantastic range, a strong voice, and a humble spirit. It's a new game altogther now! Keep watching.
Archuleta sang “Angels” by Robbie Williams. He also played piano. Of the lyrics of the song and its message, David says they mean that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.
Randy thought it was Archuleta’s hottest moment the whole season; Paula said it was fantastic; Simon said it was the best song choice of the night, but thought it was a bit nasal.
