We know him as FLAAAVOOOR FLAAAV, or William Jonathan Drayton, Jr., hype man for the political 80's Rap Group Public Enemy (PE). Flav is Executive Producer and star of VH1's Flavor of Love, a reality television show about Flavor Flav's search for love. A lot of hearts have been stolen and Flav is the culprit. On the show, some of our favorite characters have sacrificed love, their dignity and personal values for fame.
VH1 has announced that there will not be a season 4 of FOL. Viewers wrote in blogs that Thing 2, Latresha, the Flavor of Love 3 winner, and Flavor Flav are the predestined couple. She said in an interview on the Vh1 Blog that they haven't seen each other in a few months, but that it was still exciting.
However, it seems to viewers that chances are thin for the two--there is talk that Thing 2 is engaged to her ex-boyfriend, and there is a clip of the two on YouTube.
The twist is that Flavor Flav proposed to an unexpected women in the Flavor of Love 3 Reunion Show previews, despite his statement of not marrying because he's too young to die in an interview with People Magazine over a year ago.
Followers expect that Thing 2 and Flavor Flav will separate like former winners, Nicole 'Hoopz' Alexander, 23, from the first- season, and Deelishis, London Charles, 28, from second-season. Deelishis claimed on her my space page, that after the reunion was taped, Flav changed his number and was advised to cut all ties.
Along with an obvious admiration for beautiful woman, Flav is allured by the entertainment business. According to Chuck D, lead rapper in Public Enemy, in his 2005 Flavsploitation post on PublicEnemy.com, Flav has always had t.v potential before Strange Love, a hit reality show that featured Flav and Brigitte Neilson's love affair. He also claimed that show ideas with Flav with "more of a stable upstanding profile" have been rejected because production companies felt he didn't have what it took to star in a show by himself. Flav later got a second wind of fame from Flavor of Love but has compromised his PE beliefs of condoning "Social Activism" in urban communities. He exploited the woman on his show, got his night caps and gave them the boot.
Some of contestants were productive in the entertainment business before the show and later got their spotlights in fame. Season-three: Tree,23, a model, Bee-ex, 30, an actress, print ad and runway model, LusciousD, 27, a model who says she is addicted to work and wealth on www.flavorofloveworld.com. Larissa Aurora, 23, Bootz from second- season, has said on her site, larissasisland.com, that she won beauty pageant awards while growing up, and that fashion and modeling is her mission.
After winning, model and actress Hoops, has been on the cover of Black Men's Magazine and was King Magazine's girl for the month. On her new site, Hoopzonline.com, she said that she is in an impending DVD, Ghetto Series with Tyrin Turner, and rappers Webbie,Webster Gradney, Jr. and Lil' Boosie, Torrance Hatch. She is confirmed to be on a new VH1 reality show called I Love Money, which will air on July 13, 2008 on Vh1.
Some were willing to do more than others, and it was implied that some of them had sexual relations with Flav. Model and singer Deelishis has appeared in numerous music videos and said when the opportunity arose to design, style and tailor jeans, she "handled her business" on her myspace page. New York, Tiffany Patterson, had her own show, I love New York. As for Thing 1 and Thing 2, Thing 2 said in a Vh1Blog interview, "you're gonna see the twins in '08 and '09."
