After months of speculation, Holly Madison confirmed to TMZ reporters in October of 2008 that indeed, she and Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner where no longer together (read about the Girls Next Door Breakup).
Soon after, new rumors began circulating as Holly Madison and Las Vegas Illusionist, Criss Angel, where caught on camera kissing, cuddling and hand holding. Recently, the pair was spotted on Christmas Eve of 2008 in Las Vegas looking at rings. Could this whirlwind romance be the real deal?
Madison and Angel Dating Timeline
- Early October 2008: Holly Madison announces to TMZ that she and Hef are officially over - though rumors of the Playboy breakup had been circulating for months. Shortly after, Holly moves out of the mansion into a condo in Santa Monica.
- Late October 2008: Now that the truth is revealed, Holly Madison is often found in Las Vegas. Pictures surface of she and Las Vegas illusionist Criss Angel. The pair are seen cuddling, whispering and holding one another. Holly and Criss deny they are a couple.
- November, 2008: A picture surfaces showing Holly Madison and Criss Angel in a lip-lock behind the set of Angel's new Cirque Du Soleil show Believe.
- November, 2008: Holly Madison and Criss Angel appear as an official couple walking the black carpet at the premier of Criss Angel's Cirque Du Soleil show, Believe. Criss Angel announces on stage, "This is one of the most special evenings for me in my life and I cannot think of a more beautiful person, a more special person, inside and out, than Holly to spend it with."
- December 2008: Christmas Eve, the pair are spotted looking at wedding rings and a rumor starts that Criss Angel asked Holly Madison to marry him. However, Holly Madison puts out the fire by saying Criss Angel bought her a flower ring for Christmas.
Holly, Hef and Criss Triangle
Now that Holly Madison is officially dating Criss Angel - she and Hugh Hefner have exchanged biting comments through the media. In one interview for Life & Style [November, 2008]. Holly Madison is asked about her new natural look. She responds, "The truth is, I barely wear lip gloss anymore because I'm always making out with my boyfriend...Apparently, I wasn't making out with Hef as much." Later in November of 2008, she told Extra in a television interview that Hef was high maintenance. She says, "Sorry, Hef...I love you, but you know you're high maintenance."
Not one to take comments lying down, Hef retaliated in his own interview in December of 2008, letting reporters know that while he would consider walking Girls Next Door and ex-girlfriend Kendra Wilkinson down the aisle for her wedding to Hank Basset - he will not be walking Holly Madison down the aisle anytime soon.
Holly Madison and Criss Angel: Will the Couple Last?
Holly Madison and Las Vegas illusionist Criss Angel have said over and over that they are in love. In January of 2009, Holly and Criss met each others parents. Most recently, the pair have been vacationing in Cabo San Lucas with mutual friend Paula Abdul.
Rumors are still circulating that this could be the year Holly Madison finally weds. However, Holly Madison herself has suggested otherwise. She has mentioned that she needs some space and time to get to know herself before moving on.
