The TLC reality TV stars have reportedly been having trouble in their marriage. Sources have reported that Jon has been spending lots of time in his mother’s hometown of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, which is three hours away from his own family home. InTouchWeekly.com has reported Jon partying with college girls, who eventually invited him back to their house party. Star Magazine goes even further to recount one witness’s claim that Jon was actually kissing and making out with some of the girls.
John Gosselin and Another Woman?
Despite the fact that Jon and Kate initially started to deny the rumours of a possible split, Kate has now told People Magazine that the couple has been having marital trouble for months now. She goes on to tell People that, "I don't know that we're in the same place anymore, that we want the same thing. I've been struggling with the question of 'Who is this person?' for a while."
This comes at the heels of the accusations that Jon may actually be having an affair with another woman. "I remember where I was the first time I heard her name," Kate explains to People. "It's one of those things where you can try to make it go away, but there's blaring, red flashing lights."
Jon Not Enjoying the Public Eye
Kate has said on the hit TLC program "Jon and Kate Plus 8" that she enjoyed being a part of the show, and was grateful for the opportunities the show has given the family. Jon, on the other hand, didn’t seem so enthused. He explained that he has been frustrated with the fact that he is no longer anonymous. He is unable to come to grips with being recognized just about everywhere he goes. Jon’s possible identity crisis may have been where their marital problems started.
Even though the hit show has captured the couple bickering on camera, Jon and Kate have always defended their relationship. They even renewed their vows earlier this year in Hawaii with all eight children.
Kate Still Holds Out Hope
Kate seems to be hopeful that she and Jon can work things out. She tells People that she will "never give up hope that every member of our family can be absolutely happy again". Will there be a season 5 of Jon and Kate Plus 8? Jon has said that "maybe we’ll be back, maybe we won’t." If the reality show does return, it will be very interesting to see what comes of this scandal.
