Top Chef on Bravo is usually all about the cooking. But season 5 based in New York City is causing a stir as two cheftestants Leah and Hosea seem to be more than just colleagues. While the pair have made no secret on camera of their mutual affection for one another - episode clips show the two cuddling on the couch in episode 8 and make it appear as if they are kissing - begging the question - has Top Chef become Top Couple?
Though both have admitted to being attached the show makes it appear that they could be more than friends. Read on to see what all the controversy is about!

Leah: The Facts
- Leah is 27 and a local New Yorker specializing in Italian fare.
- From Season 5's second episode "Show Your Craft" rumors where already spreading that Leah was attracted to Hosea.
- In an interview, Chef Fabio, also known as the Italian Stallion, is filmed in the episode saying, "If there is [something between Hosea and Leah] good for them." However, Hosea mentions in "Foo Fighters Thanksgiving" the third episode of the season that he and Leah are "just friends" and that they both have partners.
- Leah often refers to Hosea as her "buddy." But what really has fans going on the Top Chef messaging boards is the clip at the end of the eight episode, "Down on the Farm." In this episode, Leah cuddles up to Hosea to get comfortable for a rest, seemingly intent on spending some time. Before the camera pans away, it appears that Leah moves in for a kiss and Hosea doesn't seem to pull away.
- In episode 2, "Show Your Craft" Leah makes the statement that not being in a relationship "makes her crazy." Perhaps this is why she decides to get close to Hosea?
Hosea: The Facts
- At 34, Hosea works as an executive Chef in Boulder, Colorado at Jax Fish.
- Several times throughout the season, Hosea claims that he and Leah are friends that are just attracted to one another.
- He has made it clear that he has a girlfriend back home in Colorado.
- However, editing or otherwise would have viewers believe that Hosea has no intention of thwarting Leah's romantic intentions.
- In episode 8 "Down on the Farm" he says that nothing can happen between the two of them because they are both attached. However, the whispering the couple took part in and the way the two behaved towards their fellow cheftestant, Ariane at the judges table - which resulted in her elimination, says otherwise.
Final Judgment
In episode 8 "Down on the Farm," Ariane claims she is not thrilled to be on the same team as the lovebirds, as they continually bounce ideas off one another instead of taking her opinion. She firmly believes, as is stated in her exit interviews that it is the relationship between Leah and Hosea that causes her elimination in this challenge. The question now may not be if they are indeed a couple, but what will happen when the cameras stop rolling and it is time to fess up to their perspective significant others.
